More export success recorded as Cableflow agrees contract to supply in excess of 350 medical supply units (bedhead services trunking systems, ceiling pendants & ancillary components) to a new specialist Burns Hospital in Kilamba, north west Angola.
The seven-storey hospital will contain around 250 in-patient beds including a ward for burn victims. It will also contain areas dedicated to A&E, palliative care, pathology services and infection control, as well as general, geriatric and paediatric clinics.
UK Export Finance (UKEF) have provided £130m in government funding to the Angolan Ministry of Finance in order to facilitate the construction of this new specialist burns hospital just outside of its capital city.
Contractually, around 40% of the value of the funding will be fulfilled by UK suppliers, supporting jobs and businesses across the UK of which Cableflow is a beneficiary under the contract.
The deal between UKEF and the Angolan Ministry of Finance, supported by Standard Chartered Bank and Lloyds Bank, will bolster trade ties between the UK and Angola. The terms of the deal mean that 40% of the project will be fulfilled by UK suppliers – totalling over £50m in potential export opportunities for domestic businesses including building materials, electrical equipment and medical supplies.
Cableflow will supply product valued in excess of GBP £700k that further embeds our ambitions to broaden our trade footprint outside of our traditional UK market where demand for our innovative and competitive product solutions continues to grow. This contract award follows other notable 2025 export successes already recorded in Oman, UAE, Ireland and Malta.
