Construction of the new Dyson Cancer Centre at the Royal United Hospital (RUH) in Bath has been underway since 2021 and the new centre welcomed its first patients in April 2024.
This facility will act as the cancer services hub for half a million people in the South West. The new centre is also backed by over £40m in Government funding as part of the New Hospital Programme (NHP).
The new centre includes the RUH’s oncology, chemotherapy and radiotherapy services, a 22-bed inpatient ward and dedicated pharmacy, as well as accommodation for a research team, nuclear medicine and physics teams.
Delivered by Kier construction and MEP contractor Integral the facility incorporates Cableflow bedheads throughout the clinical environments with products applied from across our range to suit the clinical requirements in each building application.
Adopting our Medisys integra linear bedhead systems with integrated LED lighting for improved patient care in bedrooms, Free Standing Medicols for Day Case Chemotherapy and Standard Medicols across all other areas including our MedicolAir with integrated low level extract for the removal of toxic waste gases.
